10) At the end of August, the peculiar village of La Serra hosts the very renowned “Sagra da Lumaga” (Snail Festival). What makes this festival so fantastic is that it takes place in the very center of the village – the dinner tables are placed all over the narrow streets of La Serra, right in between the houses. Together with many of the most traditional Ligurian delicacies, here you can taste the delicious “lumache” stew, prepared according to nonnas’ recipe – make sure you don’t miss it! If you love Ligurian cuisine and architecture, this festival should definitely be on your to-do list!
